  • Thomas Kellogg, who designed the shuttlecraft Galileo for the original STAR TREK series, died in a Newport Beach, California hospital at the age of 71 after he had sustained injuries in an automotive accident.

  • Garrett Wang ('Kim') talks in a new audio interview with ABC Australia.

  • Scientists have developed a medical device called the MelaFind, similar to the medical tricorders used in the original STAR TREK series, in detecting melanoma skin cancer.

  • An autographed copy of Gene Roddenberry's adaptation of STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE will be among the books auctioned this weekend at the Menlo Park Book Fair and Auction this weekend, September 20 and 21.

  • The Star Trek Fan Association's charity chat raised $500 for charity, to be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

  • Creative Planet Community has a rundown of ENTERPRISE visual effects house EdenFX's fall projects.
