  • Roger Ebert gives the new STAR TREK V CE DVD just two stars in a brief write-up.

  • Illinois Republican Senatorial candidate Jack Ryan is catching fire for his relationship to former wife Jeri Ryan ('Seven of Nine'), whose company was interested in the racy film MEN CRY BULLETS--which contains content contrary to Ryan's conservative campaign--during their marriage.

  • Longtime TNG and DS9 cinematographer/director Jonathan West ("Trials and Tribble-Ations," "Rapture" et al) contributed to the new documentary THE QUEST, about the Giro d'Italia cycling race.

  • Armin Shimerman ('Quark')'s unaired guest appearance on the Fox comedy THE TICK is part of a new DVD set of the series.

  • Psi Phi has posted an audio clip of the new NEW FRONTIER novel STONE AND ANVIL.

  • Robert Picardo ('The Doctor')'s official web site is selling a crystal sculpture of the actor's face, with 20% of the proceeds going to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

  • John Billingsley ('Phlox') made a guest appearance on this week's ANGEL, according to Katefan.

  • Tim Russ ('Tuvok') will debut his short film RODDENBERRY IN PATROL, a humorous look at the STAR TREK creator's impetus to create the series, and starring many TREK actors at a convention in El Paso, TX next month.

  • The Manila Times has an article on the Philippine STAR TREK Fan Club Via Astris and its recent ENTERPRISE launch event.

  • Robert Duncan McNeill ('Paris') will direct episodes 2 and 13 of the second season of the Bryan Fuller (writer, DS9, VOY)-created Showtime series DEAD LIKE ME; as well as an ep of ONE TREE HILL in Wilmington, NC.
